The first, WWW-Stat, is an older, non-graphical report. It is generated on a day-to-day basis by the servers. It gives a good overview of what the traffic is like on the site.
Analog is a more-advanced web traffic analyzer. It reports not only on page views, but browser types and search engine references as well. ( Along with several other categories of information ). Analog can also compile reports over a period of time, allowing for a month's worth of data to be viewed together. It also produces graphs to better represent the underlying data.
WWW-Stat is maintained simply for backwards compatibility. Some of our users prefer its simple and clean design. We create and store seven days worth of WWW-Stat reports, each day receiving a new file. Analog reports are kept indefinitely. They are stored on a per-month basis, with the data being updated each day, instead of a new file being created.
This index file is dynamically built each time you visit this address by a file called "index.cgi". It is yours to edit/delete/copy/etc. netINS will not update or modify it once installed. If you choose to remove or modify any or all of the document, your changes will not be over-written, only the underlying logfiles are changed.
As always, up-to-date support is provided at http://webhosting.netins.net/support/
